Collection de cartes postales concernant la Première guerre mondiale. Don de Madame May Domenech-Diego, grande-tante de Madame Anne Malphettes (ancienne relieuse au sein de l'atelier des Archives départementales de la Haute-Garonne). La collection présente des cartes postales qui exposent des scènes de batailles, la vie quotidienne des soldats, des portraits d'officiers militaires ou de gouverneurs d'états, des dessins humoristiques et des illustrations patriotiques.

8765. Albert, king of the belgians whose valour and fortitude have won him impreishable renown, was born 8th april 1875 and succeeded his uncle Leopold II on the 17th december 1909. He married in october 1900 the duchess Elizabeth of the royal house of Bavaria, a worthy and constant helpmate, refusing to be separated from her gallant husband, come weal, come woe, and untiring in her efforts to ameliorate the sufferings of their sick and wounded soldiers. 4341. H.R.H the prince of Wales, K.G (Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David) was born at White Lodge, Richmond, on 23rd June 1894. At 13 he went to Osborne; afterward to Dartmouth ; was rated a midshipman, June 1911. Continued his education in France and at Oxford. When war broke out, August 1914, he was gazettes 2nd lieutenant grenadier guards. Eager for active service, he was promoted to lieutenant and attached to field marshal french's staff.
